Senior Accountant General Ledger

Responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger for German legal entities ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group policies, IFRS, HGB, and local statutory requirements
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, annual audits, and local reporting
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Assist with monthly VAT returns and related tax compliance activities
• Support the global intercompany reconciliation process and collaborate with international finance teams
• Contribute to system improvements and finance projects to enhance efficiency and internal controls

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, Bilanzbuchhalter, Steuerfachwirt) or active studies towards one
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and HGB
• Experience in General Ledger Accounting or Legal Entity Accounting within a medium to large international organization
• Experience with ERP systems; Workday Financials is a plus
• Fluency in German and English
