Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Accountant in managing general accounting functions, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Drive accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for the General Ledger.
• Manage daily bank positions, monthly bank reconciliations, and AR/AP processing.
• Oversee fixed asset management, including maintaining the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and computing depreciation.
• Calculate sales and staff incentives in accordance with approved company policies and performance data.
• Manage inventory landed costing, ensuring accurate computation of freight, customs, and related charges.
• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
• Ensure all financial transactions comply with IFRS and internal control norms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA) is required.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Accountant in a similar-sized business.
• Proven experience in incentive calculation and inventory costing.
• Hands-on experience working in an ERP environment (Oracle or SAP preferred).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
