Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Play an integral role in the accounting for various business transactions of a rapidly growing, nation-wide business
• Use formulas, pivot tables and macros to manage and report data
• Assist with accounting research, preparation of journal entries, and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assist with reconciling accounts and month end closing responsibilities
• Communicate across departments to create and maintain efficient workflows
• Evaluate process flows, identifying systems, risks, and internal controls
• Diagnose opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency of accounting processes
• Collaborate with the team to streamline processes and implement new systems
• Work with the Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer on strategic initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience
• Expert proficiency in Excel or similar spreadsheet tools
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Complex fixed asset or lease accounting experience
