Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform the end-to-end monthly accounting close process for three SEC-registered broker-dealers
• Prepare monthly and quarterly FINRA filings, including FOCUS Reports and Net Capital computations
• Manage year-end GAAP audits with external auditors and provide necessary financial statements
• Support regulatory examinations by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Monitor daily net capital and collaborate with FINOP and trading desks to manage needs
• Maintain documentation for close processes, accounting policies, and regulatory filings
• Support ongoing department process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
• At least 2 years of focused broker-dealer accounting experience
• Willingness to pass Series 27 exam within one year of joining
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Experience coordinating with trade operations or back-office functions
