Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the end-to-end monthly close process for leasing-related accounts
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Manage lease accounting for a portfolio of contracts in accordance with ASC 842
• Prepare analytics and variance explanations for management
• Develop, document, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Coordinate with external auditors and support testing procedures
• Partner with operations, legal, and asset management teams
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
• Mentor junior staff and support special projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 842 lease accounting
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or actively pursuing certification
• Prior experience with lease accounting systems like LeaseQuery or Visual Lease
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct
