About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, specifically focusing on Sales and Marketing expenses
  • Prepare internal reporting packages to ensure financial reporting is timely, accurate, and compliant with US GAAP
  • Perform analytics over financial results to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial statements
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues promptly to management
  • Serve as a key point of contact for year-end audits, quarterly reviews, and SOX requests
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and FP&A teams to support business processes and resolve reconciling differences
  • Proactively recommend and implement process improvements to streamline accounting efforts

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a public company or Big 4 environment
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification (or currently on track to be certified)
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404, and SEC reporting standards
  • Experience with NetSuite, FloQast, or Workiva
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
