About the role
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and approving invoice accounting entries
- Reviewing and approving accounts payable invoice postings before payment
- Ensuring compliance with company policies
- Ensuring invoices are correctly allocated to the appropriate vessels and departments
- Ensuring compliance with tax obligations
- Monitoring and resolving discrepancies between invoices
- Contributing to the overall efficient operation of the department
Requirements
- Degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field
- Solid previous experience in an Accounting Department
- Computer literacy
- Familiarity with Danaos ERP is an asset
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English
