About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the preparation of journal entries, financial statement reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance to ensure data accuracy.
  • Manage monthly account reconciliations, review financial reports for variances, and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Lead statutory audits and provide comprehensive support for all internal and external audit requirements.
  • Oversee Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Payroll accounting, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Manage tax provisions, including deferred tax workings, withholding tax returns, and monthly/quarterly indirect tax (GST) filings.
  • Lead continuous improvement and optimization projects within the Record-to-Report (R2R) function.
  • Provide technical guidance to Process Analysts on the application of accounting standards for special business transactions.

Requirements

  • CA Qualified professional.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience in R2R functions (Accounting, Reporting, and Audits).
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role managing a team.
  • Expert knowledge of Accounting Standards and experience in preparing financial statements and managing audits.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong experience with Finance ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a manufacturing setup or a Shared Services Centre (SSC).
  • 2+ years of hands-on exposure to SAP.
  • Proficiency in Power BI Dashboards and Power Query for data cleaning and transformation.
  • Knowledge of Quality Lean or Process Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
