Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries for cash, accruals, stock-based compensation, and revenue
• Perform month-over-month flux analysis and prepare financial statement packages for investor reporting
• Draft technical accounting memos regarding revenue recognition, leases, and debt instruments
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and lead the preparation of annual financial statements
• Oversee the accounts payable cycle, vendor management, and R&D purchase orders
• Administer the company's cap table in Carta, including equity grants and stakeholder communications
• Manage federal, state, and local tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors
• Administer 401(k) plans and corporate expense reporting platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Proven experience working within a start-up environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth setting

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
