About the role
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end fixed asset accounting processes, including additions, transfers, disposals, and capitalization reviews
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual depreciation processing and reconciliations
- Maintain the integrity of the fixed asset subledger and ensure alignment with the general ledger
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations related to fixed assets
- Perform balance sheet and variance analyses to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, GAAP/IFRS, and SOX internal controls
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
- Act as a subject matter expert for fixed asset accounting policies and system functionality
- Lead process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives
- Provide guidance and mentoring to staff accountants and contractors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent professional certification
- Experience in a shared services or Finance Center of Excellence (COE) environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience supporting SOX controls, audits, and finance improvement initiatives
