Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end fixed asset accounting processes, including additions, transfers, disposals, and capitalization reviews
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual depreciation processing and reconciliations
• Maintain the integrity of the fixed asset subledger and ensure alignment with the general ledger
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations related to fixed assets
• Perform balance sheet and variance analyses to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, GAAP/IFRS, and SOX internal controls
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Act as a subject matter expert for fixed asset accounting policies and system functionality
• Lead process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives
• Provide guidance and mentoring to staff accountants and contractors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent professional certification
• Experience in a shared services or Finance Center of Excellence (COE) environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience supporting SOX controls, audits, and finance improvement initiatives
