Senior Account Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Forecast and close vision solutions opportunities with End Users, Partners, and OEMs to meet quota goals
• Utilize the Cognex sales process to demonstrate products and secure large strategic opportunities
• Follow up on sales leads, schedule customer visits, and identify new business opportunities
• Conduct effective customer visits within a solutions sales environment
• Collaborate with counterparts across different territories to manage integrated or multi-location accounts
• Understand customer system requirements and effectively differentiate Cognex solutions
• Coordinate product evaluations in partnership with the Applications Engineering team
• Maintain and update project information within the Sales Book and assist at marketing events

Requirements

• Technical Degree or equivalent professional work experience
• Proven track record of sales performance within the automation or a similar industry
• Demonstrated experience operating in a solutions sales environment
• Experience selling technical products to various levels of an organization
• Proficiency with MS Windows applications
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
• Ability to work independently and manage territories effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience selling machine vision products
