About the role
Responsibilities
- Own and grow relationships with a portfolio of advertisers and agency clients in Japan
- Act as a strategic advisor, translating client business goals into effective programmatic advertising strategies
- Drive revenue growth through strategic account planning and up-selling
- Lead regular performance reviews, QBRs, and strategic planning conversations with senior client stakeholders
- Partner closely with Sales, Trading, Product, and regional/global teams to deliver best-in-class client outcomes
- Provide feedback from clients and the local market to influence product and commercial strategy
- Mentor or support more junior team members as a senior individual contributor
Requirements
- At least 6 years of online advertising experience
- 3+ years of client-facing experience
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office, including pivot tables and manipulation of large data sets
- Must be fluent in both English and Japanese
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales background and experience
- Expertise in working with RTB, DSPs, ad exchanges, aggregators, and ad servers
- Experience managing programmatic advertising and digital marketing campaigns
