About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive strategies for assigned customers to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
- Identify new sales opportunities while building on existing business
- Plan and conduct regular customer meetings and seminars, including technical demonstrations in collaboration with Applications Scientists
- Negotiate and conclude license agreements and service contracts, managing the entire sales process
- Conduct post-implementation customer satisfaction improvement and retention activities
- Gather information on drug discovery research trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs in the Japanese market
- Provide regular performance reports and market feedback to US headquarters
- Collaborate with Marketing to plan Japan market-focused events and campaigns
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in scientific or enterprise software sales
- Practical experience in account strategy development and sales forecasting
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with computational chemistry software, molecular modeling, and/or cheminformatics
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field
- Business-level English proficiency
