About the role

Responsibilities

  • Sales of technical products and services to defense and federal customers
  • Strategic revenue growth of federal customers
  • Initiating and building relationships with engineering staff, program management, procurement and executive management
  • Setting up sales calls for company executives and engineers with prospective clients and qualify potential leads
  • Managing complex federal procurement and contracting processes including FAR and DFARS
  • Working with technical staff and internal colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Managing data within the company’s CRM
  • Proposing winning solutions and negotiating contract terms

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in federal acquisition
  • 2+ years of sales experience in a closing and quota carrying role
  • 2+ years of experience selling technical products or services in the manufacturing space
  • Knowledge of government contracting and procurement processes
  • Ability to travel up to 30-50% of the time
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Navy or Air Force experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing or engineering
