Senior Account Executive

Responsibilities

• Acquire, build, and cultivate relationships with senior leadership at independent advertising agencies
• Own relationships with commercial and contract leads at anchor independent agencies
• Communicate the value of The Trade Desk's media buying platform by aligning with client philosophies
• Drive measurement-led conversations to ensure long-term partnerships and strategic growth
• Identify and close strategic up-selling opportunities by understanding core client business needs
• Lead the development of proactive recommendations and RFPs to expand client relationships
• Collaborate with Sales, Client Services, Trading, Product, and Marketing teams to optimize company-wide goals
• Participate in product roadmap discussions based on agency needs and market trends

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in digital advertising sales
• Existing relationships with decision-makers at major agencies and advertisers
• Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, or DSP
• Strong quantitative skills and the ability to lead commercial negotiations for large accounts
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage VP and C-level clients
• Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations in a collaborative environment
• Ability to travel several times per quarter based on client needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience working with independent advertising agencies
• Specific experience in programmatic platform sales
