About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute sophisticated, end-to-end sales cycles within the SLED market, managing complex RFP/RFI processes and multi-departmental buy-in.
- Design and execute a territory playbook to drive strategic growth and market leadership.
- Cultivate deep, long-term "trusted advisor" relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and Program Directors across state and local agencies.
- Partner with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure successful pilot-to-production transitions.
- Leverage a network of channel partners, system integrators, and lobbyists to accelerate deal velocity.
- Maintain a rigorous and predictable sales pipeline with accurate quarterly forecasting.
Requirements
- 7–15 years of demonstrable success in technology sales, specifically focused on SLED (State, Local, and Higher Education) markets.
- Proven track record of consistently over-achieving seven-figure quotas and closing landmark government deals.
- Deep understanding of public sector procurement vehicles, including NASPO, GSA, and state-specific contracts.
- An existing book of business and high-level contacts within key state and local agencies.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical value into compelling narratives for elected officials.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
