Senior Academic Coach

Responsibilities

• Assign student caseloads to Academic Coaches and assess complex or difficult cases
• Analyze and interpret reports on student degree progression to make data-informed decisions
• Implement effective retention strategies and deliver high-quality academic support programs
• Identify and address barriers that may prevent student success
• Present at meetings, workshops, and other venues to disseminate CSU retention strategies
• Represent the university at various recruitment events, meetings, and committees

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in student personnel services, adult learning & development, counseling, education, or a related field
• Five (5) years of progressive experience in higher education academic advising, graduation success coaching, or student services
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field of study
• Experience in professional development related to academic advising and coaching
• Experience working with diverse student populations and student recruitment efforts
• Proficiency in academic advising, coaching, and planning software
• Experience working with integrated software systems as an end user
