About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and day-to-day coordination of SEND provision
- Oversee SEND policies and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
- Manage pupil assessments, reviews, and the coordination of tailored support plans
- Work closely with the Headteacher, staff, parents, and external professionals
- Provide professional guidance across the school to advocate for inclusive education
- Ensure every pupil has access to high-quality teaching and a positive school experience
Requirements
- Experienced teacher with a passion for supporting children with SEND
- Strong working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead with empathy and work collaboratively in a school environment
- NASENCO qualification is preferred
