Responsibilities

• Play a key role in ensuring all pupils with additional needs make accelerated progress in their learning.
• Directly contribute to pupil progress through high-quality sustained teaching and intervention support.
• Provide leadership and direction in meeting the needs of children with SEND.
• Lead the monitoring and school self-evaluation processes regarding children with SEND.
• Provide guidance and support to support staff to maintain a high quality of provision.
• Analyse assessment data from various sources to inform whole-school planning and resourcing.
• Assist the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with delegated professional duties.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO).
• Proven experience in a successful SENCO role within a school setting.
• Strong data analysis skills to drive up standards and inform planning.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience regarding the safeguarding of children.
• A proven track record of achieving outstanding pupil progress for children with SEND.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
