About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the development and maturation of next-generation Infrared Focal Plane Array (FPA) technology.
- Inspect and measure semiconductor wafers and discrete die using precision equipment such as measuring microscopes, thickness tools, and scanning electron microscopes.
- Perform manual and automated processes on delicate, high-value wafers and discrete die.
- Set up and operate semiconductor processing and testing equipment.
- Execute wet chemical operations involving solvents, acids, and bases.
- Perform data collection using cryogenic equipment and record results in Excel, Access, or manual logbooks.
- Conduct minor cleaning and maintenance on hardware tooling and processing equipment.
- Mentor junior technicians and participate in developmental problem-solving exercises.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Experience with semiconductor processing equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment and handling semiconductor wafers.
- Experience using hazardous chemicals in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and contribute to new developmental processes.
