About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maturation of next-generation Infrared Focal Plane Array (FPA) technology.
  • Inspect and measure semiconductor wafers and discrete die using precision equipment such as measuring microscopes, thickness tools, and scanning electron microscopes.
  • Perform manual and automated processes on delicate, high-value wafers and discrete die.
  • Set up and operate semiconductor processing and testing equipment.
  • Execute wet chemical operations involving solvents, acids, and bases.
  • Perform data collection using cryogenic equipment and record results in Excel, Access, or manual logbooks.
  • Conduct minor cleaning and maintenance on hardware tooling and processing equipment.
  • Mentor junior technicians and participate in developmental problem-solving exercises.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Experience with semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment and handling semiconductor wafers.
  • Experience using hazardous chemicals in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and contribute to new developmental processes.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
