Semi-Skilled Laborer, Summer Temporary - Grounds

Responsibilities

• Perform various landscaping duties including mowing grass, seeding, planting, and pruning
• Conduct campus clean-up and remove shrubs, branches, and trees
• Assist with snow removal and other grounds-related maintenance tasks
• Operate simple machines, motors, and various maintenance tools
• Follow oral instructions to complete assigned tasks effectively
• Potentially direct small crews of manual laborers as needed

Requirements

• One year of experience in laboring work, including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction
• Knowledge of tools and methods used in building and public works maintenance
• Ability to operate simple machines, motors, and hand tools
• Sufficient physical strength to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions
