Semantic AI/ML Architect

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ontologies using OWL/RDF to model enterprise data domains and relationships.
• Build and manage enterprise knowledge graphs by linking diverse data sources into unified graph models.
• Create and optimize SPARQL queries to enable efficient data retrieval, integration, and analysis.
• Implement semantic validation rules and consistency checks using SHACL or OWL constraints to ensure data quality.
• Integrate semantic models into existing data infrastructure, including data pipelines, APIs, and databases.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to leverage knowledge graphs for intelligent applications, such as context-aware AI agents and LLMs.
• Establish internal guidelines and best practices for semantic data management and metadata standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in ontology design and maintenance using OWL and RDF.
• Strong proficiency in semantic web technologies and standards.
• Practical experience building or maintaining knowledge graphs or linked data systems in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise in SPARQL for querying graph data.
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles and the ability to integrate heterogeneous data sources.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with metadata standards and vocabularies like Dublin Core or schema.org.
• Experience integrating semantic technologies into existing enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with specific ontology and knowledge graph tools and platforms.
• Experience working on projects involving AI agents or Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve performance through semantic structures.
