Seller Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of Pre-Sale Coordinators, providing recruitment, training, and coaching
• Oversee pre-sale workflows, including auction calendar updates and complex consignment terms in SAP
• Act as a senior escalation point for specialist departments and resolve operational issues
• Manage compliance, risk, and financial transactions in accordance with corporate governance
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, Legal, and Compliance teams on transformation projects
• Coordinate after-sale transactions, including post-auction sales and account adjustments

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 3–5 years of experience in management, operations, or logistics
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP or similar systems preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality and discretion

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pre-Sale Coordinator or within an auction house
• Working knowledge of Sotheby’s systems and sale administration
