Segment Producer

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce live and taped guest segments for Squawk Box
• Generate original content ideas daily by tapping into a broad array of sources
• Identify and book compelling guests and conduct pre-interviews
• Write compelling copy, teases, and secure supporting video or sound bites
• Create, visualize, and produce segments and franchises for the show
• Maintain strong relationships with news sources and assist Line Producers with show production

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience booking and segment producing in a live television environment
• Strong writing, research, and communication skills
• Proven editorial judgment and experience in social media production
• Ability to work effectively under daily deadline pressure
• Flexibility to accommodate a demanding production schedule, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of financial markets
• Prior experience working at a financial news network
