Security Training Manager

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the training schedule and matrix for the security team
• Perform regular needs analysis to highlight upcoming renewal requirements
• Develop and maintain the training improvement plan
• Assist with the SEMS process to improve compliance, productivity, and customer experience
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies such as DfT and CAA
• Monitor and develop the CAA/DfT Training syllabus to ensure up-to-date regulation
• Work with the training team to deliver GSS, GSO, DNXCT, AVSEC, and GSAT training
• Monitor overall security standards and AVSEC compliance
• Manage and oversee the covert/overt testing programme in partnership with 3rd parties and CAA
• Conduct internal audits based around the 13 chapters of the SCD(A)
• Carry out threat assessments in the event of potential security threats

Requirements

• Experience successfully leading a team
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Ground Security Supervisor (GSS) qualification
• Valid Ground Security Operative (GSO) qualification
• Qualified 'Train the Trainer'
• CAA Certified Instructor Number (CIN)
• Recent experience delivering AVSEC training
• Full UK driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Security Manager Level 3
• Valid DfT recognition of firearms and explosives (RFX) qualification
