Security Systems Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of security integrators and vendors from scheduling through installation to ensure quality and timeline requirements are met
• Serve as the subject matter expert for department software, including physical access control, video management, visitor management, and NVR management
• Utilize project tracking tools to document milestones, issues, and corrective action plans
• Act as a department liaison with IT for networking administration, server management, and new system builds
• Troubleshoot security technology devices in the field, including network and NVR equipment

Requirements

• Strong IT proficiency including TCP/IP, LAN, firewalls, and switch configuration
• One year of commercial project management experience
• Technical understanding of physical access control systems, CCTV, and associated networking
• Knowledge of physical barriers such as doors, locks, gates, turnstiles, and intrusion detection
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 environment (Office, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI)
• Ability to travel up to 25% annually, including international travel
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to make sound decisions under stress

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of project management experience
• Security technology certifications related to networking, server, or NVR management
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries and data analysis
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C+
• ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) certification
• Experience working in a regulated environment
