About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise and assign staff for shifts, positions, breaks, and equipment
- Coordinate security and event activity with surrounding property management
- Train staff in basic guest services and security skills
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to staff
- Conduct equipment inspections and inventory for hand wands, radios, and CCTV
- Resolve escalated security situations, including ejections or arrests if necessary
- Document all major and minor incidents
- Monitor building fire alarm systems, access control, and visitor management systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience supervising and leading subordinates
- Ability to obtain NYC Fire Guard License (F04) within 60 days
- Ability to obtain Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems License (S-95) within 90 days
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work daytime, evening, and overnight shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
