Security Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily security functions, including passenger, baggage, and ramp handling, to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor restricted and controlled zones, including airside and check-in areas, to ensure access is limited to authorized personnel.
• Control access by verifying airport passes, identification, and travel documents for passengers and staff.
• Conduct physical searches of personnel and items using X-ray equipment, metal detectors, and manual search techniques.
• Respond to and assist in handling emergencies, technical delays, and service disruptions.
• Report all security incidents, accidents, and dangerous goods-related issues to the Airport Manager and Head Office.
• Monitor baggage handling systems, conduct anti-sabotage checks, and investigate unattended luggage reports.
• Oversee the performance of ground handling agents to ensure adherence to company policies and security standards.

Requirements

• Higher diploma or equivalent in any discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the airline or aviation industry handling security.
• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a station managing departure/arrival flights.
• Mandatory Airport Safety and Security training and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations certificate.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Physical fitness and the ability to handle people and materials in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of IATA, Civil Aviation Authority, and regulatory body rules regarding ground handling.
