Security Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Responsibilities

• Manage Palo Alto Firewalls and Palo Alto Prisma Access including configuration and troubleshooting
• Apply strong knowledge of BGP routing on Palo Alto platforms
• Utilize Algosec FireFlow, Log Analyzer, and AppViz for security operations
• Optimize network security policies and streamline incident response
• Perform security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and practices
• Facilitate training sessions to improve staff security awareness
• Research new security technologies and trends to strengthen defenses
• Act as a liaison with internal departments and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity and information security
• Proven experience as a Security Subject Matter Expert
• In-depth knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance
• Experience with security assessments, audits, and incident response
• Strong analytical and risk management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• CISSP certification
