Security Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Responsibilities

• Manage Palo Alto Firewalls and Palo Alto Prisma Access including configuration and troubleshooting
• Utilize BGP routing on Palo Alto platforms
• Administer security tools such as Algosec FireFlow, Log Analyzer, and AppViz
• Optimize network security policies and streamline incident response
• Act as the primary authority on security topics for stakeholders
• Analyze security risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Develop and review security policies, standards, and guidelines
• Conduct security awareness training and workshops
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security technologies
• Participate in security audits and compliance assessments

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on architecture and risk management
• Experience in network security infrastructure
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS
• Strong understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, and identity management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• CCIE Certification
• CISSP, CISM, or CEH certifications
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Experience in incident response and management
• Knowledge of cloud security models and solutions
• Experience with regulatory compliance and data protection laws
