Security Specialist - Risk Management Framework

Responsibilities

• Prepare security documentation for multiple systems, including test plans, security plans, hardware/software lists, data flow diagrams, and network diagrams
• Ensure remote access connectivity and FTP connections meet NGA and NIST requirements
• Implement security controls and countermeasures to protect information assets and ensure data sensitivity enforcement
• Manage site-to-site VPN tunnels in accordance with NGA and DoD requirements
• Follow accreditation standards using ICD 503 and RMF, managing security categorizations for confidentiality, integrity, and availability
• Conduct bi-weekly vulnerability scans and quarterly STIG system scans, providing detailed results
• Maintain audit trails to detect and report unauthorized access attempts to the ISSO
• Provide monthly audit logs and security reports to NGA

Requirements

• Active Top Secret SCI security clearance (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience in cybersecurity or a related field
• Active CompTIA Security+ and/or CISSP certification
• Proven experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and accreditation processes
• Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity policies, procedures, and NIST standards
