Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned security duties including patrols, monitoring systems, and incident response
• Serve as an on-site responder to security, safety, and medical incidents
• Conduct routine and random patrols to identify hazards or policy violations
• Monitor and operate CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and life-safety systems
• Control and document site access, including visitor processing and credential checks
• Provide initial emergency response support such as basic first aid and evacuation assistance
• Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift documentation
• Maintain accountability of issued equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or emergency response experience
• Industrial security experience
• Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
