Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Safeguard company assets, personnel, visitors, and sensitive materials through proactive security measures and situational awareness.
• Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents and breaches, including collecting and documenting witness statements.
• Perform comprehensive foot patrols and monitor surveillance systems to identify suspicious behavior or security breaches.
• Manage access control systems, including the issuance of ID badges and access cards to employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to environmental, fire, and security alarms following established emergency response protocols.
• Serve as a key member of the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT).
• Mentor, train, and supervise contract security officers under the direction of management.
• Maintain accurate inspection logs, incident records, and security-related documentation.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in security operations, investigations, or a related field.
• Background in law enforcement, corrections, or military service.
• Strong investigative skills with the ability to analyze complex situations.
• Experience in providing de-escalation training.
• Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in professional written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle unpredictable crisis situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of security systems, technologies, and safety practices in a business environment.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to security.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
