Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Safeguard company assets, personnel, and sensitive materials through proactive security measures and situational awareness
• Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, breaches, and other matters requiring detailed analysis
• Collect and document statements from witnesses, victims, and suspects in a clear and concise manner
• Perform comprehensive foot patrols and monitor surveillance systems to identify suspicious behavior
• Manage access control systems, including issuing ID badges and access cards to employees and vendors
• Respond promptly to environmental, fire, and security alarms following established emergency protocols
• Serve as a key member of the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT)
• Mentor, train, and supervise contract security officers under the direction of management
• Maintain accurate inspection logs, incident records, and security-related documentation

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related field or 7+ years of relevant experience in security operations or investigations
• Previous experience in law enforcement, corrections, or military service
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong investigative and analytical skills to handle complex situations
• Proficiency in conducting interviews and collecting formal statements
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to use various software programs
• Ability to work in various environments, including exposure to inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of security systems, technologies, and safety practices in a business environment
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to security
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Proven ability to provide de-escalation training
