Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facility Security Officer in administering and managing the Huntsville Security Program
• Develop security correspondence for multiple programs and customers
• Implement security policies, procedures, and departmental instructions
• Manage the processing of security clearance paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Maintain personnel security records and databases, including fingerprinting quality control
• Ensure compliance with requirements for marking, handling, and safeguarding classified information
• Execute visitor control functions, including processing visit requests and verifying identification
• Troubleshoot industrial security issues and assist in resolving queries from government agencies

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required
• Active Secret security clearance is required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of NISPOM requirements and document control processes
• Ability to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
• Experience with incoming and outgoing foreign visits

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant facility security experience
• Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
• Experience with SIMS software
