Security Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily security operations and staff on assigned shift at a Chicago office high-rise
• Manage scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, and development for a team of security officers
• Ensure high-quality security services to protect people and property
• Handle escalated security issues and emergency situations appropriately
• Conduct general patrols of interior and exterior property, including stairs, in all weather conditions
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and visitor management systems
• Verify tenant and visitor credentials and enforce building access procedures
• Record incident reports, property damage, and unusual occurrences accurately
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and visitors

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years of prior security officer or directly related experience
• 2 years of continuous supervisory experience
• Valid state security license and driver’s license as applicable
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods; lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs
• Ability to perform patrols in inclement weather
