Security Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and repairs on low voltage security, fire, CCTV, and card access systems
• Complete assigned ULC, Fire, and Security inspections according to a structured schedule
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices to ensure proper equipment operation
• Test appropriate signals into the monitoring station and ensure ULC certificates are updated
• Collaborate with customer IT personnel to work on networks
• Provide end-user training on systems as required
• Document and archive inspection results using laptop computers or hard copies

Requirements

• High school diploma or College Diploma
• Electronic Technician Certificate
• Minimum of 2 years of security experience or equivalent
• Proficiency in computer networking and operating systems
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license and ability to provide a driver’s abstract
• Ability to pass a criminal record check (must be bondable)
• Flexibility with working hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ULC standards and certification processes
• Experience in customer service roles
