About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead site security compliance in alignment with DOT, TSA, DHS, and all SSHE requirements
- Manage site security measures including access control, badging systems, and perimeter security
- Develop, deliver, and improve SSHE training programs, monthly safety meetings, and safety campaigns
- Maintain training records and compliance tracking via the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Conduct unsafe act/condition audits, observations, and emergency response drills
- Oversee contractor safety through site orientations, performance monitoring, and audits
- Supervise site security guards and ensure proper staffing and training
- Represent the site in local and industry associations to stay current on regulatory changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or a related field, OR 10+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, DHS, and TSA regulations
- Strong training facilitation and curriculum development skills
- Experience with LMS platforms and training tracking systems
- Proven experience in SSHE, safety, or security roles within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- "Train-the-Trainer" certification
- Experience with contractor safety oversight and site security programs
