Security Safety and Training Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead site security compliance in alignment with DOT, TSA, DHS, and all SSHE requirements
• Manage site security measures including access control, badging systems, and perimeter security
• Develop, deliver, and improve SSHE training programs, monthly safety meetings, and safety campaigns
• Maintain training records and compliance tracking via the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Conduct unsafe act/condition audits, observations, and emergency response drills
• Oversee contractor safety through site orientations, performance monitoring, and audits
• Supervise site security guards and ensure proper staffing and training
• Represent the site in local and industry associations to stay current on regulatory changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or a related field, OR 10+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment
• Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, DHS, and TSA regulations
• Strong training facilitation and curriculum development skills
• Experience with LMS platforms and training tracking systems
• Proven experience in SSHE, safety, or security roles within manufacturing or industrial environments
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• "Train-the-Trainer" certification
• Experience with contractor safety oversight and site security programs
