Security Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure underpinning identity, access, endpoint, and shared platform services.
• Define and evolve infrastructure patterns for on-prem and hybrid environments, replacing bespoke implementations with standardized models.
• Own the full lifecycle of infrastructure systems, including deployment, upgrades, patching, and recovery.
• Implement infrastructure as code and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Chef, or Ansible.
• Build and operate monitoring, alerting, and incident response mechanisms to meet high availability targets.
• Identify automation opportunities to eliminate manual toil and reduce operational risk.
• Partner with Security, Identity, and Network teams to ensure infrastructure meets reliability and security requirements by design.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience operating and architecting mission-critical infrastructure in high-reliability environments.
• Deep experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles at scale.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management.
• Proven experience with hybrid or cloud-integrated systems.
• Ability to lead incident response and drive durable fixes through postmortems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating infrastructure for R&D, specialized labs, or safety-critical environments.
• Hands-on experience with fleet or endpoint management platforms such as FleetDM or Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Experience partnering with identity engineering teams on hardened, policy-enforced infrastructure.
