About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, delivery, and refinement of a new workplace violence prevention training and education program.
- Facilitate training in various formats, including classroom, virtual delivery, physical technique demonstrations, simulations, and eLearning.
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders and leadership across the hospital network to identify program improvements.
- Support security-related workplace incidents and participate in debriefs to identify training opportunities.
- Analyze and assess training metrics and quality indicators, presenting findings to UHN Leadership and external stakeholders.
- Work alongside Security Operations management to review metrics and ensure operational standards are maintained.
Requirements
- University or college degree in security, law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of security supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of adult education or equivalent experience.
- Valid Ontario Security License (PSISA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of recognized security industry certifications such as CHSS, CHPA, or CPP.
- Certifications related to adult learner education, coaching, or mentorship.
- Experience with healthcare-centric de-escalation programs.
- Experience working within a unionized workforce.
- Proficiency in data management using Power BI or similar platforms.
