Security Operations Manager

General Matter enriches uranium. We are designing, building, and operating the world’s lowest-cost enrichment services, here in the US, to restore America’s ability to produce nuclear fuel for AI, advanced manufacturing, and critical industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site security operations, including access control, guard force management, investigations, incident response, and emergency preparedness programs
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve security policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies
• Conduct security risk assessments, threat analyses, and vulnerability reviews
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including manufacturing, facilities, EHS, IT, legal, and executive leadership
• Oversee security technology systems, vendor and contract security services, budgets, and performance metrics

Requirements

• 8-10 years of progressive experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or security operations
• Leadership responsibility in a complex operational environment
• Experience managing physical security programs, investigations, and incident response
• Knowledge of security risk management and regulatory compliance in industrial or critical infrastructure environments
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced engineering or highly technical environments
• Experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductor, technology, or defense sectors
• Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, or CISSP
• Expertise in crisis management, business continuity planning, and executive protection
• Track record of optimizing enterprise security technologies like VMS and access control platforms
