Security Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of SOAR playbooks, workflows, and integrations
• Identify repetitive, manual tasks within security operations and implement automated solutions
• Partner with security analysts to understand workflows and develop technical skills
• Create and maintain documentation for automation workflows, scripts, and tool integrations
• Assist with SOAR platform maintenance, routine updates, tool migrations, and logging system changes

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a Security Engineering role
• Solid understanding of core security concepts (SOAR, SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence)
• Foundational scripting skills in Python for API integrations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GISF, or GSEC
• Familiarity with SOAR platforms like Cortex XSOAR, Tines, or Splunk SOAR
• Exposure to Go, Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript
• Familiarity with security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK or NIST
