Security Operations Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Perform initial triage and investigation of security alerts across Linux, MacOS, and Kubernetes environments
• Utilize SIEM, EDR, and other security tooling to detect and respond to suspicious activity
• Support incident response activities including analysis, containment, and remediation
• Contribute to detection content and detections-as-code
• Document investigations and maintain accurate runbooks and SOPs
• Participate in a 24/7/365 SOC with a rotating on-call schedule
• Collaborate with threat intelligence and detection engineering teams

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or similar experience
• 1–2+ years of experience in security operations, SOC analysis, or incident response
• Working knowledge of Linux and MacOS systems
• Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewalls
• Solid understanding of network protocols, VPNs, and proxies
• Strong analytical and communication skills
