Security Operations Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events across enterprise networks, endpoints, and cloud platforms
• Perform initial analysis and triage of security alerts to determine validity and severity
• Escalate confirmed or suspicious security events to senior analysts following SOC procedures
• Support incident investigations through evidence collection and alert validation
• Assist with containment and remediation activities under the guidance of senior team members
• Document investigations, findings, and actions within incident management systems
• Maintain and contribute to SOC documentation, incident records, and operational playbooks

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Foundational understanding of cyber security concepts, threats, and vulnerabilities
• Basic working knowledge of SIEM platforms or security monitoring technologies
• Previous experience in a SOC, IT operations, service desk, or technology support environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow established processes and work effectively within an operational environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Microsoft Security certifications (SC-900, SC-200, or AZ-900)
• Specialized training in SOC Analysis, SIEM Fundamentals, or Incident Response
