About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Google SecOps
- Investigate and respond to security events promptly and effectively to mitigate risks
- Perform malware analysis to understand behavior, origins, and impact to fortify defenses
- Investigate phishing attempts, identify attack vectors, and advise on preventive measures
- Create, integrate, and operate security tools to enhance monitoring capabilities
- Assist in purple team exercises and post-incident analysis
- Maintain and update security documentation, including procedures, runbooks, and policies
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a security-related role
- Proven experience in incident response, malware analysis, and phishing investigation
- Strong understanding of security standards, hardening principles, and best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required due to export regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or CEH
- Hands-on experience with Google SecOps (or Chronicle)
- Practical experience in malware dissection and phishing analysis
