Security Officer Xray Screening Airport

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures and site-specific policies at a government transportation location.
• Screen passengers, visitors, employees, and personal property in accordance with approved screening protocols and post orders.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas to verify identification and deter unauthorized access or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and perimeter locations.
• Document all activities and communicate effectively with supervisors and public officials.

Requirements

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, OR a college degree.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and a drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with X-ray screening.
• Experience with access control and badge verification.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license.
