Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Perform regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the property
• Provide courteous assistance to guests and enhance visitor experience
• Respond promptly to disturbances, emergencies, or suspicious activity
• Collaborate with surveillance teams to monitor CCTV systems
• Maintain detailed incident and activity reports
• Conduct routine checks of doors, windows, lighting, and fire safety equipment
• Promote awareness of property rules and safety protocols
• Utilize conflict resolution skills to manage difficult situations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, or customer-facing roles preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SLED security license or certification
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods in various weather conditions
• Availability for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and complete foot patrols
