Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Create positive and efficient interactions at the building exterior, lobby, and front desk
• Proactively greet guests and identify their needs
• Monitor traffic flow and direct guests to minimize wait times
• Resolve guest concerns promptly upon arrival
• Promote building amenities and maintain knowledge of onsite events
• Coordinate guest transportation such as taxis or rideshares
• Utilize tablet devices to facilitate guest and tenant arrivals
• Maintain high standards for personal appearance and grooming
• Facilitate lobby safety, cleanliness, and security
• Perform front desk and administrative functions as directed

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Experience in door staff, receptionist, customer service, clerical, hotel, or restaurant roles
• Comfortable around pets and animals
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to acquire and maintain an Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
• Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform foot patrols or walk stairs
• Ability to work in inclement weather
