Security Officer, Probationary

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day protective security functions as specified in daily post and detail orders
• Guard security sites against damage, fire, theft, trespassing, and unlawful attacks
• Conduct roving security patrols to ensure the premise is properly secured
• Verify and identify employees and other persons entering the site
• Carry and operate weapons as specified in daily post and detail orders
• Develop incident reports regarding attacks, damage, theft, or unusual occurrences
• Investigate disturbances and maintain order and safety during emergencies

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license
• Fluent in speaking and writing the English language
• Ability to pass a detailed background investigation
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with a counterintelligence polygraph (US Citizenship required)
• Ability to pass a detailed medical evaluation and qualify with required weapons systems
• Ability to work in harsh outdoor conditions and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security experience
• Prior experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections, or a Military background
