Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct security patrols of assigned facilities and site perimeters to ensure safety and identify hazards
• Respond to medical emergency calls and coordinate with police, fire, and rescue services
• Organize evacuations during hazardous weather or disaster situations
• Conduct investigations and document findings in the security reporting system
• Monitor security systems, including camera surveillance and building access control
• Respond to branch alarms and access violations
• Manage site security/reception desks, including visitor control and facility access
• Perform administrative security tasks such as fingerprinting new hires and issuing identification badges
• Provide employee and visitor escorts within buildings or to parking areas when necessary

Requirements

• Exposure to law enforcement or private corporate security
• Familiarity with physical security systems, processes, and procedures
• Ability to obtain and maintain current CPR/AED Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Basic research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Florida Class D and G Armed Security License
• 2-5 years of experience in law enforcement or military security roles
• Professional security certifications (e.g., ASIS CPP, APP, PSP)
• Proficiency with incident reporting and technical monitoring platforms
